When upgrading a Mahindra Thar suspension, the important question is not simply whether the suspension is “stronger.” The real question is how the complete suspension package works with the vehicle, the type of driving, the additional weight of modifications, and the owner’s expectations from the Thar.
The Tough Dog Gen 2 suspension setup for the Mahindra Thar is presented as a more complete Thar-specific suspension package, combining Foam Cell shock absorbers, front and rear coil springs and heavy-duty front J-Arms. The current kit is designed around a balance of city comfort, highway handling and off-road performance, with the product information stating that it is engineered for Indian roads and local terrain.
