Looking for a Maruti Suzuki Gypsy King 413 4x4 for sale in Coimbatore for restoration, off-roading, touring or a custom project build? Jeep Club India helps buyers assess Gypsy 4x4 vehicles before purchase, with focus on chassis condition, mechanical health, 4WD operation and documentation.
This is a seller-described Ex-Army / Army Disposal Gypsy platform. Important: “Ex-Army,” “Army Disposal” or “Army-type Gypsy” does not automatically prove Army provenance, legal road registration, transferable ownership, mechanical condition or working 4x4. These points must be verified through physical inspection and original documents.
The Gypsy King 413 platform is commonly associated with a 1,298 cc petrol engine, five-speed manual gearbox and two-speed transfer case. The actual condition of the engine, gearbox, transfer case, axles and 4WD engagement must be inspected on the vehicle.
A properly assessed Gypsy 413 can be a practical base for:
A transfer-case lever alone does not confirm a working 4x4. Front drivetrain engagement, low range, propshafts, hubs, differentials and axle condition should all be checked before buying.
Before paying an advance, inspect the vehicle with a technician or at a workshop.
Avoid tight turns on dry high-grip tarmac with part-time 4WD engaged, as drivetrain wind-up can occur.
Jeep Club India is based in Peelamedu, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, serving Gypsy and 4x4 buyers from Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Chennai, Madurai, Trichy and the Nilgiris.
Buyers from Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and across South India should plan a physical inspection instead of relying only on photographs or videos. Pan-India buyers can discuss vehicle inspection, build planning and transport, but must independently confirm RTO transfer requirements and legal use in their destination state.
Jeep Club India has worked with Jeep, Gypsy and 4x4 restoration and customization projects in Coimbatore since 2006. Our practical workshop experience can help identify common concerns around chassis repair, corrosion, drivetrain wear, suspension, electrical finishing and build planning.
This does not replace physical inspection, official document verification, RTO confirmation or a written purchase agreement. Every used Gypsy must be assessed individually.
Is this definitely an original Indian Army Gypsy?
Not unless supported by original, traceable documents. “Ex-Army” or “Army Disposal” is not automatic proof of Army ownership, legal registration or road eligibility.
Is Gypsy King 413 a 4x4?
The platform is associated with selectable 4WD and a two-speed transfer case. The actual 4WD condition on this vehicle must be tested.
Can it be used for off-roading?
Possibly, after checking and repairing chassis, brakes, steering, cooling, tyres, suspension, recovery points and the complete 4WD drivetrain.
Can it be registered or transferred?
Do not assume. Verify RC, ownership trail, chassis and engine numbers, tax, NOC needs and RTO transfer eligibility before purchase.
What is the price?
No fixed price is stated. It depends on condition, documentation, transferability, mechanical health, restoration level and scope of work needed.
