The Wrangler Type FRP Hardtop is a custom-molded cabin enclosure specifically contoured for the Mahindra Thar CRDe (2010–2020). It replaces the factory canvas soft-top with a rigid, high-density composite fiberglass shell.
Unlike conventional rounded hardtops, the Wrangler-type features distinct structural lines, characteristic side-window styling, and an integrated rear hatch design. Preparation: Complete removal of the factory soft-top canvas, metal bows, and B-pillar hardware.
Surface Alignment: Inspecting the vehicle's rear tub edges for trueness to ensure the hardtop sits flush without gaps.
EPDM Weather-Sealing: Applying high-tack automotive rubber seals along all mating surfaces to prevent water ingress and eliminate fiberglass-to-metal squeaks.
Hardware Torqueing: Fastening the hardtop shell using heavy-duty bolts and anti-vibration washers to the vehicle's structural mounting points.
Hatch Calibration: Aligning the rear tailgate, adjusting the gas struts on the glass hatch, and tuning the lock mechanism for smooth operation.
Water Testing: Conducting a high-pressure water test on all seals, windows, and joints prior to vehicle handover.
