At Jeep Club India, we have been building and modifying 4x4 vehicles since 2006. With a Toyota Hilux, we do not treat suspension replacement as simply removing the factory shock absorbers and installing a new set.
A Hilux can be a daily-driven pickup one week, a highway touring vehicle the next and a loaded overland or off-road vehicle after that. The suspension therefore needs to be selected around the vehicle's actual load, accessories, tyre setup and intended use.
Our Tough Dog adjustable suspension upgrade for Toyota Hilux is designed for owners who want greater control over how the vehicle behaves rather than simply adding a visual lift.
Tough Dog's adjustable shocks provide 9 stages of adjustment, allowing damping characteristics to be tuned for different applications. The adjustable range also uses Foam Cell technology, designed to reduce aeration and help maintain shock performance during demanding use.
At our Peelamedu, Coimbatore workshop, we first inspect the existing suspension, vehicle weight distribution, accessories and intended driving conditions. We then select the appropriate suspension components and carry out installation, inspection and post-installation testing.
For Hilux owners in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and across India, the objective is straightforward: better-controlled suspension without compromising the vehicle's practical 4x4 capability.
Better damping control: The 9-stage adjustable shock design allows suspension damping to be fine-tuned for different driving conditions and vehicle setups rather than relying on one fixed setting.

No suspension installation is considered complete simply because the vehicle sits at the desired height.

The final adjustment can be discussed around the owner's actual use rather than leaving the vehicle at an arbitrary setting.
